A brief description of the garden.

The formal French potager gives a hint of France yet links seamlessly into the ornamental  English lawn and mixed borders.

Mediterranean plantings near the terrace show off a 200 year old Olive tree. An avenue of Italian cypress leads to a white terracotta urn.

There is a decorative plaque of John Tradescant the younger and a "tree house" which affords wide countryside views.

A large pond is bordered by more "natural" plantings and the woodland garden walk is a delight in spring. All opf this in 3/4 of an acre.

Alan and Marylyn continue to enjoy a high profile as speakers to groups and societies. They have amassed a wide range of titles and subjects, from the light hearted to serious news stories of the day.

Consultation, publicity and marketing.

We are now in a position to act as gardening and marketing consultants for the larger garden.

Marylyn has spent most of her working life "in the media". Much of this with newspapers and TV. She was responsible for all of the publicity with the restoration of the gardens at Harlaxton Manor and our former garden at Le Manoir at Port de Roche in Brittany.

Both projects became the subjects for TV series and numerous TV news items as well as appearing in newspapers and magazines. She therefore understands how to get the best results from the media without the need for expensive advertising.

Garden Visits.

We do open for charity and we support the National Gardens Scheme, Perennial (formerly the Gardeners' Royal Benevolent Society) and Guide Dogs for the Blind.

For specific event details, or to arrange a lecture or special event please feel welcome to contact us to discuss more fully.

Sandringham Flower Show is always a popular event in our calendar. Alan and Chris Beardshaw judge the show gardens and they both give talks and advice.
